H1N1 Flu Immunuzation Continues

The Grundy County Health Dept has received a small shipment of H1N1 vaccines.
A walk-in clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th, 4PM to 7PM, at the Gardner Grade School.
People will be allowed to lineup at 3:30pm, the day of the clinic.
The clinic will start at 4PM and end at 7PM or until all three hundred (300) doses of vaccine are exhausted.
Vaccine will be administered to persons determined by CDC to be priority. That CDC list includes pregnant women, persons who care for children under the age of 6 months, healthcare workers and first responders, children 6mo to age 24 and persons 25 years to 64 year olds with underlying health conditions.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or written permission from their parent to receive the vaccine while accompanied by someone over the age of 18.
Future clinics will be scheduled as more vaccine becomes available. Please watch the newspaper, listen to the Morris radio station and check the health dept web site at www.grundyhealth.org

The Grundy County Health Department encourages everyone to help stop the spread of flu this season.
Remember the 3 C’s.
- Clean - wash your hands frequently
- Cover your cough with a tissue or sleeve
- Contain your germs by staying home if you are sick.
Do not return to work or school until you have been 24 hours without a fever and without taking
anti-fever medication.
The Health department has conducted six seasonal flu clinics throughout Grundy County and has
exhausted the supply of vaccine for persons aged 19 and over. No further vaccine will be received.
The Grundy County Health Department has a small supply of seasonal flu vaccine for children. Please Call (815) 941-3419 and leave your child's name, birthdate and a phone number. You will be contacted to arrange an appointment.
