You may also register to vote on the mail-in registration form, under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), a copy of a valid I.D. must accompany the registration and/or be provided when you vote.
You may also register to vote when you obtain a new Illinois driver’s license or state ID. Your registration will be forwarded to the County Clerk’s office.
ALL VOTER REGISTRATIONS ARE PROCESSED THROUGH THE GRUNDY COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE
You, the voter, can help maintain accurate voting records by notifying the County Clerk’s office with a letter, if you or an immediate family member(s) has moved, changed their name or is deceased.
Every (2) two years the County Clerk’s office is required by law to verify the accuracy of our Voter Rolls. We are required to mail new Voter Registration Cards to all active voters in Grundy County. In 2011, the new Voter Registration Cards were mailed in July. If you did not receive a card and you are a registered voter please contact the County Clerk’s office at 815-941-3222.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS
If you are currently a registered voter in Grundy County and have moved within Grundy County, you MUST change your voter registration by one of the following procedures:
Complete the back side of your voter registration card and return it to the County Clerk’s office.
Changes of address must be received in the Clerk’s office or post marked no late than 28 days before an election.

What if I moved outside Grundy County?

If you are currently registered in Grundy County and have moved outside of the County, you must re-register with the Election Authority in your new County in order for you to vote.

If you change your name, YOU MUST RE-REGISTER TO VOTE.
