Grundy County Highway Department
About Us The Grundy County Highway Department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of all the bridges and roads in the Grundy County Highway System. In addition to constructing and maintaining the 273 miles of roads and 59 bridges on the County Highway System, the department assists the 24 townships of Grundy County in the construction and maintenance of their 969 miles of highways and 194 bridges. The yearly maintenance includes: Summer Maintenance Crackfilling Hot Mix Patching Bridge Deck Cleaning Shoulder Repairs Culvert Replacements Drainage Improvements Brush and Tree Trimming Litter Pick-up Winter Maintenance Snow and Ice Removal Brush and Tree Trimming Culvert Repairs Shoulder Repairs Any concerns or compliments about roads or bridges should be addressed to the appropriate agency.
