Duties of the State's Attorney
The office of the Grundy County State’s Attorney serves the people of Grundy County, Illinois. Grundy County is situated 60 miles southwest of Chicago, and is a major pathway for cross-country highway travel via Interstates 80 and 55. The law enforcement agencies with whom the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office frequently work to prosecute crimes are the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, the Morris Police Department, the Minooka Police Department, the Coal City Police Department, the Channahon Police Department, and the Illinois State Police.
