Grundy County Ethics Commission
On April 20th 2013 the Grundy County Board appointed 7 members to the Grundy County Ethics Commission. Also included is an advisor for legal purposes. The original Ethics committee was formed in 2013. The members can be found by contacting the Grundy County administration building or going to the Grundy County website www.grundyco.org.
The intent of this commission is to help with unethical practices of any Grundy County employees. If there is any question of unethical conduct the board will review and “if found to be true” make a recommendation of a fine or possible jail time.
Such un-ethical practices may include but not limited to; conflicts of interest, using county time for personal reasons such as organizing or demonstration, unreasonable termination, gifts/contributions from a prohibited source.
For more information please request a copy of the Grundy County Ethics Ordinance and a complaint form. Both forms may be obtained at the Grundy County Administration Building by contacting the Grundy County Administration assistant or the States Attorney’s office. Forms must be returned (in a sealed envelope) to the Grundy County Administration building to the care of the Grundy County Ethics Commission.
